That sort of comment makes me wonder if you've ever suffered having to use Origin to be honest, let's just say it took a long, long time for that horribly designed inflexible piece of crap to get to the stage of launching the game and I really don't have the patience to go through it again (I can't believe EA never thought people would be using a small boot SSD). It's almost like EA wanted to prove you could make a worse client than Steam which impressively they have done, Steam used to irritate me frequently with its complete inability to handle errors correctly or communicate back what it was trying to do but having experience the horror of Origin Steam seems much better.

The single player is of no use for practicing offline as from what I've seen of it, the missions and maps have absolutely nothing to do with the multiplayer plus it wasn't very good anyway. It's much quicker to learn the maps in an offline mode with bots, my experiences with the multiplayer are not great as half the people don't seem to know what they are supposed to be doing, others are killing each other because someone grabbed a vehicle they aren't happy with which leave me really a bit confused about what I should be doing in all that. At least if I knew what was supposed to be happening I could get into the game more but as it stands after a few games of multiplayer I feel like writing the game off completely.

    1. DICE has always sucked with server browsers. Battlelog is leaps and bounds better than any other in-game browser they've created. It allows them to make upgrades/fixes to it without having to patch the entire game, since it's a completely separate system. I personally really like the web based server browser. Look into Better Battlelog and Battlog Plus (I think that's that names). They make it even better.

    2. I've never had any issues alt-tabbing out of the game. This is likely an issue with your system. How much RAM are you running?

IE maybe not as technically "advanced" as the other browsers, but its better in terms of getting things done. The address bar has a list of my recent/frequently visited sites and I dont have to type things into the address bar or use bookmarks. That alone kills Chrome/Firefox. I also use Opera which is another good browser.

I am running 4GB DDR3...which is the recommended specs, above required.

I never had ANY issues with the Bad Company 2 in game browser. I am just surprised that DICE couldn't figure out that people are running 64 bit machines these days! They must've been really shocked...

I'm okay with requiring an internet connection to play a game, especially an online game. Diablo III however does not require you to use a WEB BROWSER to play connect to games online, and a 32 bit one even if the user is running a 64 bit system. If anything, its dice that need to get with the times. It actually reminds me of around 1998 when you needed to use Gamespy to find and connect to Quake 2 servers. Pretty much using the same system. Quake 2 didnt have an in game browser and neither does BF3. So Dice stepped back more than 10 years technology wise.

Found new bug today, game wont let me map the middle and side keys on my razer mouse like every other game does. Bad Company 2 had a bug where it wouldn't let me bind the enter key.

Key binding - Dice can't figure it out.

People rag on Infinity Ward, but at least they make sure the game WORKS before releasing it and don't have such stupid bugs and poor programming errors.
MW3 is very well polished...its only the gameplay thats a bit dated.

When you're binding things there are two columns. One is for the KB and one is for the mouse. Make sure you're clicking in the mouse column to bind mouse keys. All of the keys on my Razer Deathadder work fine.

Sorry to hear about the Origin issues, not sure what the problem is. I've had no problems whatsoever with it, that sucks that you're not able to get it working properly.

As for the gameplay issues, you just need to try out different servers. There are plenty of servers where everybody knows what they're doing, and you should probably find one with teamkill off so you don't have any TK issues to deal with. I refuse to play on servers with teammkill on, unless I was playing with people I knew (nobody I know plays so that's out ) or if I'm on a well-admined server.

That's all that needs to be said. I feel sorry for anyone that thinks IE is an even halfway decent browser.

Hey if you have no problem playing outdated games I STILL advise you to get a different browser. Try one and get used to it. Personally I recommend firefox.

Or being able to play on the same team as friends. Maybe they really did take a 10 year step back.

OH HOLY **** even games 10 years ago let you play with friends. Let's go with 15 or 20 on those two topics.

I cant deal with Chrome/Firefox not letting me simply get a list of recently/most visited websites and forcing me to manually enter URLs. If anything, its those browsers that are outdated.

If you play with people in your party or in your platoon BF3 automatically tries to put you on the same team and in the same squad...

It seems like some of the problems you guys are having with BF3 are user error.

Chrome's New Tab page has all of this.

Check out points 5 and 7.

IE has this too, you open a new tab and get mostly visited sites. I prefer not having to open a new tab to go to a website, unless I want to. Its a little waste of time, but still wasting time.
