That game looks really neat. I love the creative games where you build stuff. If someone can wrap some interesting game play mechanics around building and exploring then I will be set.

I just saw John Carmack tweet about this saying it's going to be at QuakeCon this weekend. It sounds pretty damn awesome.

Saw the kickstarter video and I was pretty impressed by the support he has from Epic, Valve, and Id. Looks pretty slick.
If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

It would take $10M+ to get something like this into production.

Still freaking awesome, albeit it a weird thing to put on Kickstarter. Guess it's a good way to get the attention of developers, which is really the missing pieces with all of these.

Well, the kickstarter specifies that it is to fund dev kits, not the actual production model of the thing. Who the hell knows when they'll make this available for consumers.

Seems like possibly sooner rather than later. I'm pretty amazed at how many big developers have endorsed this.

My copy of Zombicide is out for delivery (and arrived in Phoenix yesterday). This means next weekend gets to be spent killing some zombies!

The oculus looks really interesting, but I'd think that serious developers would want much more information than what is available on that kick starter page. I'd also think devs would want more concrete information on release dates and potential price points so they have deadlines to schedule for. There aren't any images of the "dev" package that will ship. Is it like the CAD images or is it some soldered up hack job?

I thought this looked interesting. Strategy of War. Like a Magic card game of modern military units.

*after reading the manual I decided to back the project. I can always cancel, but looks fun.
