Win 7 has 2 firefox icons in task bar

Somehow I lost the ability to display my firefox with all the tabs I have opened daily in a
non-maximized way. Anyway while trying to fix this i unpinned firefox from the taskbar
and can now move it arund freely. The problem is I can't undo this :P When I boot Win 7
I get the firefox icon on the taskbar as usual, but once i open firefox it creates a second icon next to the first one
I tried pinning it to the taskbar (since unpinning it created the problem) but that just locks its
    position.
Any idea how i can go back to 1 single firefox icon?

Usually when that happens, it is because the version of firefox you pin is from a previous version. With firefox upgrading once a month or so, it happened to me a few times. Easiest way I found to fix it is to unpin everything, open firefox from the start menu, and then pin what opens when you do that. It sounds like you may have already done that, and if that is the case, then I'm not sure what it could be.

Thanks man :P Now i got a permanent second copy of firefox on my taskbar
One labeled Firefox the other Firefox(2).
How do you delete these icons?
How do i get windows of firefox to dock to the original icon and not the copy?

    And here is the fix:
To remove the firefox icons unlock the taskbar, unpin each icon - now you got 0 firefox icons.
Start firefox through the start menu and select pin program to taskbar on the new icon, lock taskbar - fixed.
Now firefox won't open a second icon when i launch it and properly stacks instead.

That's basically what I said to do. I guess I don't have my taskbar locked, sorry.
