    Cs:go

Picked it up last night and proceeded to play for 3 hours. Forgot how much fun it was, even though I suck because I haven't played CS in like 10 years.

Anyone else pick it up? Except for a few minor complaints I'm really pleased with it.

Oh and I still hate the AWP.

I was in beta and wasn't digging it. It did not feel like a significant enough change from CS to me to warrant a purchase.

I picked it up. I think it's great. For $13.49 I feel it was money well spent. I love the hosted servers and how easy it is to get into a game.

At the end of the day, it's still CS. I wish there was a version of CS that was more tactical and less action oriented. I feel like what the game needs is a new mode where all damage is 5x, you run slower, can't jump, recoil is doubled, and you can't no scope.

My biggest problem with CS has always been that the game becomes too twitch, and covering fire is useless because you can just run through it and barely take damage.

    This.

But, that's not to say I won't pick it up for $5 at Xmas sale.

Picked it up the day it was released and already played 19 hours of it. It's not much different than previous versions, but enough has changed (graphics, new items, modes, and maps) for it to rekindle my addiction.

CS 1.6 is probably my most played game (by hours played) of all time... however, i think ive lost the hand eye coordination that i had in my youth that is required to do well in a game like CS

I'm 28, and am still able to pull off 2:1 KD ratio, MvP reward (new in CSGO), and top the leaderboards. It's not that hard to get back into. There's still some "strategy" involved, especially if you play the camping side (T on CS maps and CT on DE maps) that newer players won't figure out until they get some playtime in.

My son bought it today on 360. He's trying to find the surf servers LOL. He plays CS:S on the PC but all of his friends bought it on 360. He's been owning them all day because he knows the maps already...kinda funny.

yeah id say 90% of the "strategy" in CS is to memorize the maps and camp with your crosshair planted at the usual spots

When you watch people play competitively, especially with the AWP, it gets to the point where they actually shoot before anything is on the screen and hit the edge of the hitbox, because they expect someone to turn the corner.

It's funny though. They made a lot of changes with GO to try and get away from that, but people complained, so they reverted back.

Pass for me. Might grab it when it hits 75% off in the next steam sale.

If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

Well, there are some tired and true tactics that I showed my son that still work. B rush flash, he took out their entire team on Dust single handedly in like the first 15 secs of the match as a CT. I showed him the exact spot on the CT spawn doors to quick snipe T spawn and the sniper box, and sure enough..headshot. Then he moved onto Italy and I showed him how to leave CT spawn and make it up the logs and when to start shooting as soon as he made it up there. Yep, same as CS:S..easy kill in apartment. That was only about 15 min of my time to show him just stupid n00b easy tactics, and he mopped the floor. PS3 at least has mouse support, so I wonder if it is any better on that console.., but 360 is just wreck city for anyone who played CS:S for a while. My son never really got into anything other than gun game and surfing on the PC, so he's having a hard time adjusting to the 1 and done respawn matches (DE, hostage, etc)..LOL I see a lot of kids losing patience over that fact right there.

bought it when a slew of friends hit me up after buying themselves

its fun, but the weapons do not "feel" right, the spray patterns are way different, i keep thinking tf2 randomness, your character is slower now so it will mess with your timing to different parts of the map, and.....................the m4 has no silencer? ha ha been sometime since that was a fact

not saying its bad, just saying the weapons are off, the colors are really drab and washed out, and the maps seemed "smaller", like the environment grew inward in size?!?!?! hard to explain

in other words, take out the familiar maps and its not cs
