I couldn't sleep this morning, so I went ahead and fired up the game.

*Edit: Looks good from the few minutes I've played.

I almost went to the local midnight launch party at GameStop. Then I decided I like sleep.

Will be firing this up on console after work tonight. Pretty stoked.

I played for about an hour last night. So far, so awesome. You have the ability to just barge in on your friends' games, which is great.

I'll be playing once I get home for a good 4 hours straight. Any one who wants to join is more then welcome.

Especially when they weren't expecting anybody to do it.

I hope to do so, but we have some company coming over tonight so I may not be on as much as I want to be. Will likely be on around 6 central through 7 or 7:30 (assuming I skip working out today), then back on again around 9-ish. May also be on in between but I won't be at my computer enough to be a good co-op partner.

We only had issues joining a game if my friends Kevin or Talha was hosting. If one of them was hosting, the other couldn't join (but everyone else could). If I hosted, there were no problems. Very strange! We had this same problem with Dawn of War 1 years ago and never figured out why it happened.

Oh man is this a great game. Got my Zer0 to level 7, playing as a sniper. Love Claptraps expanded role and Handsome Jack is a riot.

I've been playing Ashton (I always liked the soldier character). The "badass" tokens are fun little perks for doing things you were already doing anyway, and you can turn them off if you don't want to use them. But they will be great for replay with a different class.

Not a huge fan of Salvador. Gunzerking seems weak and reloading anything except pistols (because they're fast) and the sniper rifle (because you're usually at a distance from enemies) is a dangerous chore. Still early, we'll see how it plays out.

I enjoy Zero so far. I snipe or go with zoomed in weapons. When it gets too hot, I vanish and move to another spot. I was originally speccing as a gun character but I'm actually liking melee more. I might do a respec when I get father along and unlock the continuous backstab ability.

Check out the skill trees. One might have improved reload times. You can also focus your baddass levels toward faster loading to help.

There are some things in the trees later that help but that doesn't help now when I just have 4 or 5 skill points. For now it's still just a slog.

I'm seeing a lot of people on other boards that are disappointed with the Gunzerker as well. Seems to get better once your level is in the teens.

    ::edit::
Respawning enemies is a bit of an issue as well, as they do it far to quickly, but my main problem with the game thus far is the GOD AWFUL inventory and shop interfaces. Absolutely terrible.

I see a lot of people playing Siren. I might try that on my next play through.

I'm really liking the weapon diversity in this game. Great effort to make all the guns feel so unique. I really like sniping with zero so far. Really fun to try and maximize crit damage on headshots. Makes it really challenging. Taggart, it definitely helps using his special ability to zone out to get some distance and keep plugging away. Interested to see how the class evolves as I level up.

Tried MP last night. Not too happy with the fact that text chat does not work on a multi-monitor setup. Guess voice chat is really the only way to go, cause the visuals look amazing across three screens.

How can these guys have done so well with this game, but bombed on duke nukem?
