Question EVGA GeForce GTX 680 SC Signature 2 Power Issue

I am trying to set this card up on my PC and have a problem. I have a modular Corsair 650HX PS that has one available 6-Pin out slot and four 4-pin slots. I have three spare
Corsair 6-pin, split to dual 6-pins cords. The VC came with an 8-pin to VC that splits to two 6-pin cords. The Corsair split 6-pin plug does not match with the EVGA split 6-pin, and the instructions say there are two different 6-pin plugs, but only one works with this card...I must have the other kind. Local computer store (only one here) gave me the deer in the headlights stare and could not help. Looking at the EVGA adapter, I see one of the 6-pin plugs has an open slot (no wire). I am looking for help on where I can find a cord that will match up to the EVGA adapter and then match up to my Corsair power supple. Any help is appreciated.

That adapter isn't for power at all.

It is a DVI-D to VGA adapter for your monitor.

I'f I was you I'd get a new PSU that has the right amount of 6 pin adapters for your GTX680.

It doesn't have to be Corsair ( I have a corsair but also like other brands like enermax) but this website will help you pick out the PSU you need.

Looks like your card needs both the 6 pin and 8 pin power cable - yes?. Your PSU should have come with a 6 pin and an 8 pin cable. Or your video card itself. My PSU came with 6 pin and 8 pin cable (which breaks up into two 4 pin). Actually my PSU or GFX card came with 4 8 pin cables with 2 of the pins detachable as a block leaving me with a 6 pin. Does your PSU or GPU have that? Your PSU lists as having (PCI-Express Connector 2 x 6+2-Pin). You could use one of those for the 8 pin connector and the other for the 6 pin. The +2 should snap so that the 6 block makes the 8 block. I'm just wondering if you have enough juice in your PSU for your whole machine though.
