    Space Engineers looks great

I saw this game on Unprofessional Fridays on Giantbomb last week and it looks impressive. The game is a combination of Kerbel and Minecraft set in space. You can use primitive blocks to create entire space craft with reactors, thrusters, cockpits, hangers, etc etc and then fly them around. The creation tools extend to space stations and buildings. The alpha is much like Minecraft's creation mode where you can use all the tools. Eventually it looks like you'll be mining asteroids or exploring planets to get all the required pieces to build ships and stations.

Multiplayer is not in the game yet. The coolest part is the destructibility of the objects in the game. They crashed two huge space ships into each other and the pieces deformed. One ship split in two revealing the inside corridors and such.

I can't wait to see what they do with the project. Its only $15 on steam early access so I may try it out.

Here's the link to the giant bomb video. They play around with it for about 30mins, but I think you have to be a subscriber to access the video (well worth subscribing to GB, their content is great.) http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/unpr...013/2300-8121/

Yup! The red ship deformed too if you look at the last two pictures. The blocks are warped. Pretty neat.
