When you bundle in mobile games, which do not compete at all with consoles/PCs then the percentages seems low. I'd like to see his entire analysis. I suspect he is sliding the mobile sector into the pie slices and predicting major growth over the coming years. Kind of misses the point though. Its about the same as showing romance novel sales next to classic literature sales to prove literature is dead. The fact is, they don't compete.

You could also make the argument the the Xbox One and PS4 at their core are 100% x86 PC hardware with custom software. The only issue with PC gaming was the initial investment but the new consoles are right up there now so that argument could go out the window soon.

It seems to me that pretty much all current console hardware is the result of some PC innovation. And lumping PC games in with the simplistic mobile games out there is ridiculous. Of course, if they stopped making PC games today there are enough good ones I haven't played to keep me busy for years. I recently replayed Fallout 2 and Planetscape Torment. Well worth the time to play again. It had been so long it was almost like I had never played them.
