Free to play on steam, or a starter pack for 19.99 with more goodies. Gonna give this a go today.

It's completely free to play. The only stuff you can spend money on are XP boosts and costumes. I dropped some cash on the game as soon as I realized I could make one of the characters look like Riddick and I think it was money well spent. ^_^

Be aware that the servers are getting absolutely destroyed right now, so matchmaking might be utterly broken for you if you try to play today.

Started playing today. It's actually quite fun and has real potential. Can't believe it is free.

It's way better than any of the full-priced retail shooters released in the past few years.

Interesting, looks quite good. I need something new to tear me away from my TF2 addiction.

It might just be me but I got this weird Giants: Citizen Kabuto vibe from watching the trailers....

Played a little last night. It's sad (though of course not unexpected) to go in and see all the stuff locked when the last time I played I had the full run of everything. Looks like I'll be using the basic beam and basic rifle weapons for a while until I build up some points and play around with dropped guns to see what I like.

You get enough Blutes to unlock stuff pretty quickly. After gaining one level I had enough to fill out one loadout slot exactly as I wanted.

Also, there's a really sweet Test Mode that lets you test out your weapons against dummies before you spend your Blutes.

I thought I was going to make a sniper rifle yesterday until I took it into test mode and it takes three shots to kill the targets if I don't hit the head. That was with the gun maxed out on damage. Seems a bit underpowered.
