Smite

[Kamakazie]

Smite is a MOBA which takes place in the third person (like a shooter or MMO) and features gods and legendary creatures from various different ancient religious pantheons as the playable heroes. I've never been able to get into any MOBA before, but the change in control and perspective offered by this game makes it feel so much more active and exciting than the usual fare, and for the most part the community doesn't seem horribly toxic like the ones I've seen in LoL and Dota.

I really think it's a great game that sets itself apart from the competition in such a way that makes it perfect for someone like me who otherwise never enjoyed the genre. Give it a download and let's all play some games together! You can find me in-game as Kamakazie.

Forgot to mention that this weekend, all gods are free to play (normally there is a rotation as in LoL), so it may be a good time to try it out.

Tried it the other day. Game is absolutely horrible, in my opinion. The one thing it has going for it is the 3rd person/controls work well together. Outside of that I have nothing positive to say about it. I really just can't stand MOBA's. Run in and die, or kite like a mofo. Unless of course you are high leveled, then it's just a rape fest. Rather not put in the time of being meat to get good.

I've never played a MOBA. Don't really understand the appeal of the concept. Maybe I'll give this one a try.
