Weekly CPU prices - AMD!
I know that the Sharky team does not guarantee the CPU prices posted here, but I've been following some of the Vendors' websites for a couple days (Monday and Tuesday), and compared them to last weeks CPU price update. I found the actual prices were much higher than what had been posted here. Today I compared your most recent weekly updated AMD Tbird CPU prices with the Vendors' sites and again could not match what had been quoted. In some cases the CPU's listed here were as much as $45 lower than the vendor's posted price! The only AMD Tbird price that matched was Star Components 1Ghz AMD Tbird @ $247.
I can understand being off by a couple bucks, but $45? You might want to verify the validity of the price engines you're using.
And I thought it was worth mentioning to everyone, icompz toll free number is "Not In Service". (At least it isn't from Canada.) That's one place I won't be buying from. They don't even maintain contact information. That's a very bad sign. Blah.

You do realize that they get most of their prices from pricewatch.com, right? A lot of vendors have special deals just for pricewatch users, as well as the fact that they probably update pricewatch with new pricing info faster than they do their own site. It's quite common. In fact it's a simpler and more effective task for the vendors to update pricewatch than update their websites. Pricewatch gets WAY better visibility than some random venodr's site.
Tell me if I'm wrong here...

Ok, I checked out price watch and you are right. Phone Orders only and a 30 day warranty. One problem. Their toll free number is out of service. What kind of business advertises a price with an out of service number? Hey, maybe it's just me. Try it and let me know. 1-877-451-7400.
I haven't made many purchases online, so I haven't come accross Pricewatch before (although I've heard of it). I would have never known that the prices were only available by quoting Pricewatch if you hadn't said anything. Thank you Shreck.
It might be worth while for the webmaster to supply the link for Pricewatch on the CPU price page so that people like me don't point fingers at them. Just a thought.

It seems that my voice was heard. I'm impressed!
