Overclocking Celeron 600
I have a celeron 466o/c 582.Now my friend got a P3 800MHz,asnd now I'm in a little race to get the fastest CPU( I now the CPU doesn't make the overall speed of the computer). So I'm looking at a celeron 600MHz for $99.99, and I want to the overclockers website database, and the ave. o/c speed is 901MHz so I would like to now is what the FSB for the celeron is and multiyer(inbox speed)so I know what SDRAM to get(I have PC100)or don't have to get.

The Celeron 600 runs 66Mhz x 9. For 900Mhz, you need to run at 100Mhz FSB. The likelihood of getting the Celeron to that is not particularly great, but fairly good. I've found the 566 to be a much easier overclock, and I'm now running mine at 892Mhz (8.5x105Mhz)
Celery is yummy, especially when overclocked 68%

The 600 can do 900 but you'd better have great cooling and enough voltage. I got nearly 900Mhz from a 533a so the chip is more than capable.

There's two types of people out there:
Overclockers & those who should be overclocking.

how about getting a duron 600 for $50 and then overclocking to 900 thus outclocking and outrunning any celeron including the rare sightings of giga celeron? unless of course you dont want a new mainboard.....

You really shouldn't have too much trouble, Since my last post (see above) I have increased my CPU speed to 952Mhz at 1.9V where it runs rock solid. This is a Celeron 566 retail, running in an Abit BH6 V1.1 with standard HSF. 1.9V is rather high, so I run 892Mhz at 1.7V most of the time.
The CPU wouldn't quite finish loading Win95 at 1003Mhz, maybe I need a better cooling unit

Heck yeah. Spend the $ on the Alpha and try for a stable 1Ghz.
