Unhappy SB Live - KT7 RAID problem

    Ok, here's the deal:
I have a Kt7 raid with a 1Ghz T-bird. When I first got all the necessary parts for my pc I put everything together right away (couldn't wait til I had every part. U know how it is ). I ran the system without installing the MOBO drivers that came with it. I did install the sb live drivers. Everything worked fine. After a while I formated my harddrive and installed everything new. After installing Win 98 se I first installed the MOBO drivers, then all the others. When the installation for the sb live was complete it told me to restart my pc. So I did. But when Windows detects new hardware, it tries to initialize the sb 16 emu or something. That's where I always get the message:

An exception 0E has occured at 0028 :C 2A1F510 in VxD---.
    This was called from 0028: C00812C0 in VxD VKD(01) + 000001D0.

I have no idea what to do.
    Please help, thanx

Got that same message with the version of the driver supplied on the CD. Boot up and enter safe mode, uninstall the Sb live drivers and reboot. Download and install the newest drivers on the website (www.soundblaster.com)and if you get it working then download the other utilities. the file sizes are quite large though.

    DO THIS -

Disable your Soundbalster 16 Emulator in your device profile. Its used for legacy games, and if you dont run any games in DOS, you dont need it. It caused me heartache for 2 days trying to figure it out.

    Boot up in safemode.
    Disable in Hardware profile.
check autoexec.bat and remove any command-line statements setting soundblaster
    IRQ/DMA settings.

Everything will be fine after that.
