How do I OC my Slot-A Athlon?

Hi, I have a Athlon 750MHZ on ABIT KA7 BiosTY
Via KX133/4.25a 4 in1.
350Watt PS.

I'm considering to Overclock the CPU to 850 or 900mhz.

My question is can I OC just from my softmanu or do I need a device call the Tweakdevice that attachs to the debug port of the athlon?
If so how do I do it?

Heat should be of no problem because I have 2 case fans with good airflow and a double whammy CPU fan at 7000 rpm.

Don't remember any boards having BIOS multiplier settings. Use a Golden Fingers Device.

Since you're running a "classic" Athlon, you're really going to be limited by your cache. It's off-chip and AMD had a hard time finding fast enough parts which is why they used slower cache at the funky fractional speeds.

Plus, the old Athlons ran really HOT, so... good luck.

Agreed. Even with a GFD the classics don't OC nearly as well as their TBird cousins.

I guess I will just leave it as it is.
I'm happy with it anyway.

Also, That sucker does run hot!
The stock HSF does a ok job, but I switched to a Double Whammy and its at 35C and 16C system.
