    Question Computer Temps--"Cpu Hysteresis Temp"???

I have been using Vias HW monitor to check my cpu temps. It has an option to warn me when the "Cpu Hysteresis Temp" is too low. What is a "Cpu Hysteresis Temp"?

With heat monitors the hysteresis temp keeps the alarm from starting and stopping, like if you have it set to go off at 55C with a 2C hysteresis and it hits 55C and starts going off then goes back down to 53C then back to 55C it won't continue to go on and off as the temp shifts. Not sure how it could be set too low though.

hmm...the cpu hysteresis temp is set for 40C by default and the overheat temp is 50C. Does that give anyone any clues...I still am not sure what it is.

My guess would be that if your heat hits 50C and your alarm goes off then it will not go off again until it gets below 40C and raises all the way back to 50c.
