I have to give a nod in James direction. Even so far as to go into the UL specifications. Depending on what the company decideds to "tag" on there products it could be the "peak" power that it can handle over X amount of time. They can "technically" put a rating on that is misleading if they walk a fine line when you get certification. The UL guy that comes here to check our stuff has told some evil stories...

And about the audio stores.. *snicker* I love going in to places like Radio Scrap and acting stoopid they start talking all techie like and then *BOOM* hit right back with he actually truth.

Radio shack dude... Yeah this baby kicks out 400W peak to peak...

ME... WOW...really.... oh so then the actual peak wattage is 200 and that is only at a minimum time constant and if you take the true RMS reading then you are getting only 141.4W ..he he he
Evil shades Evil. You gotta come over for a few drinks and steak sometime man

Holding Boundaries and Breaking Barriers

Fool that I was, I foamed in my wickedness as the sea and, forsaking Thee, followed the rushing of my own tide, and burst out of all Thy bounds. The madness of lust held full sway in me. - Aurelius Augustine
