Building my first AMD system
I am building my first AMD system (well second if you count the K6/2), and I was wondering if some of the stuff I have will work.
I am going to get a Duron 800 and a cheap motherboard, probably Fic, but they all seemed to be beased on the KT133 chipset. As I understand the 133 AMD busses run on 100mhz RAM so I can use my PC100 memory, correct? And the Tbirds that use the 266 bus need PC133 memory right?
Are there any problems with the KT133 chipset, and how well will it work. The motherboard I am looking at is a Fic AZ11. Is it possible that this chipset or motherboard may not be compatable with my Tekram SCSI card?
Thanks for any help.

Yup, you only have to overclock if you want to =) a motherboard will not force you into overclocking.... but if you have a Duron... why not ;-)
