    Post Too slow

    ok I have a:
    Athlon 1.13 / 266
FIC AD11 mobo (AMD 760 DDR)
    128mb PC2100 DDR, CL 2

In Sandra my memory and CPU come out just where they should. But my real life performance sucks. It takes this thing 12 hours to do a Seti@Home work unit. It has been 4 hours and it is 47% done a Folding@home unit. I have tried all sorts of different BIOS settings, ram timings etc. I took the results with everything running normally as well as nothing but systray and explorer running. I have reformatted twice. I run WinME.
What gives. My PIII 667 was way faster.

Just a question....but have you installed all of the drivers that came with that mobo?? If not, that could be slowing it down

like KJY said, make sure you installed the 3-in-1 drivers...yes, 3 in 1...not 4 in 1. if you installed 4 in 1 drivers, that could be your problem also.

Oh yes. I have the latest installed right now, and I have tried other versions too. It takes me 10 hours to do a folding unit too.

If you are letting the seti vidio run, 12 hours is not that bad.
