Help me with my first OC!

could you help me with OCing?
i just attempted my first OC....I've got a duron 800 and a soyo sy-k7vta-b. I've unlocked the duron by way of the pencil trick, and it was successful(in that it unlocked it) I have the CPU running at 850 now(8.5x100)....it's stable as far as i can tell, did everything i normally do(check e-mail, stuff like that)...i played UT and got an average of 10fps faster(yay)....i upped my voltage from 1.6 to 1.73...which is fine, i went up about 1C in temp after this, i'll probably put the vcore down to about 1.62 or so. The main question is, i've got it at 850.....but i can't get it to 900.....it simply won't post, so this is the original reason i tried to up the voltage....when i put it back down to 850 it boots up fine. Since i can't see any major problem with either stability or temperature, what's the problem? Anything i should know as this is my first OC? Thanks! Also, i had it at 103x8.5 and it came into windows then locked up....at 110x8.5 i had to reset my cmos since it wouldn't post at all there. should i try it at 9.5 or something? how do i get it to 900 minimum? thank

try upping the voltage more. i dont think youd kill your duron unless you went into 1.9v or around there. what kind of cooling do you have, also you might want to try upping IO voltage to 3.4 or 3.6

You mean 1.7v isn't enough? and where is my IO voltage? not sure as this is my first time ever attempting an OC and am actually happy it even worked at all!

I helped a friend with his duron 800..... had to go to 1.8v to get it past 900 and now it cruises right along. As long as you have good cooling you'll be fine.
