How hot is a normal Pentium 4? 60 degrees Celcius?
My Pentium 4 1.8Ghz consistently runs at 60 degrees Celcius. I check the retail heatsink and fan, and it is attatched securely. What could be causing my processor to run at such a high temperature?

This may be possible, however I am experiencing mutliple programs crashing(AOL, Internet Explorer, etc.) Also when watching videos with Windows Media Players, I hear many glitches in the audio that were not there before I installed this processor.

That is quite a bit higher than a standard P4. Your own case and room temp will effect this. Also if you are using a thermal pad that is not as efficient as grease.
I'm going to me this over to C&C where you can find even more help.
