    I don't know about the internal contstruction differences, but the official difference is that the MP is designed to be used in a multi-CPU configuration. I think that was your question.

    They are the same CPU...except the MP's are certified for use on MP systems.
    There's been rumor that the Mps are the best of the XP procs and thus they certify them for MP use.

    correct...correct. the mp is the xp. the only different is a few bridges connected on the core.

    Not connected...there are no valleys between the L1's though which make it easier to unlock
