Asus P3V4X Motherboard w/Annihilator 2
Currently, the Display Director credits me with a max bandwidth of 2x, yet the board claims it can do 4X. How can I get my video card to accept that my motherboard supports AGP 4X? I've got the latest detonator drivers....

It is an VIA chipset right? I think AGP4 is disabled in drivers.
Go to bios and make sure that you select AGP4 mode. Download the latest 4-1 Via driver. Then get the drivers from www.3dblaster.com Also from there pick up a Blaster Contol. That will allow you to enable AGP4 and also add some more AGP/Card tricks.

There is a registry hack that goes in to enable it on our boards I have a Hercules 64mb GTS2 and when I enable 4x agp most of my games lock up. If you do some reading on Madonion.com youll see that 98% of other people do to but if your still interested email me and Ill email you the regedit file to do it Good Luck

Thanks! I went to madonion and tried the proscribed reg. hack, which of course froze my system. I recovered through safe mode, though.
It was worth a try.
