Where is the fog???
I installed "Hitman: Codename 47" last night, and eventhough it looks beautiful and runs usually pretty well at 1024x768x32 on my PII-450/ATI Radeon 32DDR, I don't have fog!!! I'm playing the first real mission in Hong Kong, and instead of fog, I get like a blue haze! I mean, my old Voodoo2 could do fog, why can't ATI freaking enable fog in their drivers???
I can say that Hitman runs as good and looks better on my machine than it does on a friend's machine with a T-bird 800/GF2MX, but at least he has fog!

Maybe you have somekind of retro 60's ATI driver :-) Anyway I have no clue why. Might be a setting in the game. Does anyone else have the same problem w/ Radeon running same driver?

Get the SP drivers 3063.
They are very stable.
As for the fog.
There is known problems with tablefog.
Personally I have tablefog turned off right now.
Also you should go visit the forums in www.Rage3d.com since you have a Radeon.
Maybe they can be more helpful, because some of them own that game.

Starting to agree, but even with fog not working in Hitman, the graphics are just beautiful compared to my friends' TNT2 and GeForce2 MX. It rocks in many respects, but ATI needs to hire nVidia's driver department away from nVidia!

so u're an insider and/or know the entire architecture by heart?!
back 2 topic:
there's a guy in the forum calling himself RadeonMaXX..
his signature contains LOTS of registry hacks, just find one of his posts and look at the signature....
edit: ok, did it for u, there is one
line 'TableFogEnable = 1' and another 'ZFogEnable =1'
i guess, these might help u in some way, don't know why those ATidiots can't write a serious driver...

Problem is, those hacks don't often work, and if they do, only in certain games. Also, you can't turn them off without reinstalling the drivers.

LOL, the fog works fine. I don't have that game personally, but it might use W Table Fog, just like Rouge Spear(which I have) does & Rainbow Six Co-ops or whatever it's called. Games that uses W-Fog, also needs to have ExportWBuffer=1. You don't have to reinstall your drives everytime you make an entry...LOL that makes me laugh when I hear that, if the drivers supports the key, it will work right then & there. But most of these keys Are DX 8 related, so a lot of them may not work since no games are using DX 8 now, but ofcourse it hasen't hurt having them on, plus a lot of them could be defaults, just don't know. I have noticed differances in Image quality & performance that makes me happy; Damn there are so many more reg keys then what I have listed for this card, it's unbeliveable T&L rocks hard on this card now since the other T&L keys on.
