I think what we have here is a little elaborate reverse corporate pr slandering.

well, i'm about to read the link now, but i've been hearing about Nvidia's "bully tactics" for a while now. whether they're true or not, i don't think it's really any different for any other market leader. face it, to rise to the top, you're going to step on a lot of toes, and to stay at the top, you're going to have to keep stepping on 'em.

damn, i thought nvidia was awesome when they came out of nowhere with the tnt2 but after the geforce series, they seemed to get a big head even bigger day by day... of course, when has a corporation ever had ethics? this isnt really that shocking... lol

i am really tired of everyone favoring nvidia these days... i cant run crap like the mir screensaver because i dont have an nvidia board... it's ********! nvidia can go screw themselves my $.02

This is just more of Nvidia's BS. They have done this same crap often before, and a ton of nvidia supporters are trying to brush the embarassing truth under the carpet, just like they've done o so many times before. This propaganda campaign is just like all the crap Intel has been saying about AMD for all these years, and still is (can you BELIEVE they are still trying to convince everyone that Athlon is unproven and has compatibility problems?).

forget it, if it's genuine or not cannot be proven reliably, so...

EDIT: since there are 2 independent sources on the matter now, i tend to belive it's genuine. and yes, this 'business strategy' does not surprise me at all, some even say enVidia is 'the best company' whatever that means.

Dude, Nvidia already admitted that it was real. They made a press release about it, stating that it was for competitive comparison at Nvidia sales rep meetings. Its real.

But his is nothing new for Nvidia, whenever another company has a better product, smear campaigns start.

What's disappointing is that even though they admitted it's real they lied about its purpose. It was NOT intended only for internal sales reps.

How anyone can trust anything this company says is beyond me. They have truly become the Microsoft of the 3D market.

And they are not the microsoft...they have no lawsuit against them by the US Dept. of Justice. Untill they get this they will have to be contented with a Good Graphics Card Company as their title.

Didnt I read already that the GF3 WAS GONNA SELL FOR 399$?? Maybe that will be an MX flavor or lower ram (32 instead of 64) But the Kyro scores competeing with GF2...by the time It comes to market the Gf2 will be the same price or less(look at Nvidias history of competition....this is in line with their business model) with more options for future games.

Their is no reason not to buy Nvidia based cards....for whatever your price range is they have a great card for you. If you are Canadian and want to help your local economy..by all means buy ATI....If you have never bought ATI prior to the radeon...buy all means give it a try....If you are a Bitter veteran of the 3dfx/Nvidia wars on this board
and will only take an Nvidia card when they put it in your cold dead hands...fine.

Most people who want speed and compatability with great graphics detail...will buy Nvidia based boards. The only poorer quality compared to radeon I have seen in Nvidia cards was in 2d desktop above 1280 resolution. I have never seen any game that looked better on a Radeon....and all I have to do is go next door to do that. Im getting 80.1 fps in my GF2mx (Hercules) in quake3 demo 1 max everthing 1024 res and trilinear.....and my card cost 99$ at Best Buy. Thats quality and price. Tribes 2 plays awsome right out of the box.
