When i shot down the computer the screen get's black and freeze

Hi , allmost 3 times from 5 when i try to shot down the computer the screen get's black with a thiny green line in the top and freeze therre without turning OF any more .
Is this a Videocard problem or what ? ,...i changed the drivers but i hawe the same problem . I hawe the monitor oficial drivers and the refresh is set to "Optimal"
I run Win 98 SE.

It`s a coomon problem with Win 98 SE .No matter what hardware windows is tempromental.Get a program calle xteqsetup it will help you cure that!

You may get a patch from MS Windows for a fix of Win98SE shutdown problems. If you are networked you can also get a patch to make
Win98SE shutdown real quick.
