Yes and this will came with 4.5 Ns and probably will overclock @ 230/230 mhz without problems.
@ this speed the K II will nuke all GTS/pro/ultra without any probs.

If NVidia programmers are tough enough and write their own version of software Hidden Surface Removal, what will happen ?
Remember those guys who wrote HSR driver for Voodoo4 & 5 and some of them might be working for nVidia. The game is not over yet.
If this really becomes true, KYRO II will have problems competing with GF2 cards.

errr......Kyro II does tile based rendering...which is done in the hardware...not in the drivers...so it would be impossible to have a gf2 with tile based rendering just by a simple driver update...

Hidden Surface Removal is different from Tile Based Rendering. 3dfx already had a semi-working model of it with the later voodoo3/4/5 drivers. HSR is basically the same concept as Hyper-Z. So it's possible that NVIDIA could net some pretty big gains from a driver update - we'll have to wait and see, though.

How many people care about the use of T&L? MDK 2 looks a little dark without the T&L feature. Big deal.
Serious Sam on the other hand looks amazing at 1024x768x32 w/ 4x FSAA.

Thos people with a gf2 whatever version just have a hard time with new cards that could be better than theirs at a better price. Atleast thats what I see. Defending thir hardware as if there is no tomorrow. Please give me a break. From what I've seen kyro 2 really does have very good promises with all the bencharks and reviews. It does cause certain problems or graphical problems on certain games. I believe one review sites had a problem with kyro2 when doing counter strke and it didn't draw properly. Either way hopefully with newer drivers it will solve kyro2's problem. If everything is done well and no problems then kyro2 is a contender in the lower end and also could be a contender in the high end graphics card soloutions. You got to admit that.

Well, I can report that my first run through on 3DMark 2000 was pretty much in line with the review posted in the first comment in this thread. I was hoping that my system would punch it through faster, seeing that it is:
Dual Athlon MP 1.2Ghz
Tyan Thunder K7 mobo
1Gb PC2100 memory
Might have to do with the fact that it's running Win2K - Win9x won't use the second CPU. Also, I didn't mess with any of the driver settings - I'll play with it more and post later...
The little HSF on the Kyro II got pretty friggin' hot, too - I had removed it and re-mounted it with ASII, after discovering that the Blue Orb didn't line up to the post holes. I've probably glue the Blue Orb to it once I get some AS adhesive...
