    ??? are you smoking crack?

Its not his vid card that is bringing the lack of performance. Its his cpu. if you were to get a 1 gig or something you would prolly get an extra 2-3k extra on 3dmark right on the spot. no joke. You can easily oc that card to Ti500 speeds. EASILY. so you could add lots more points by doing just that. and its hard to find a better video card than that....

I have to disagree. A GeForce2 Ti would have to overclock a lot to reach even close to GF3 Ti500 performance. You'd probably have to overclock it to like 350MHz core and 600MHz memory before you get equivalent performance to a GeForce3.

His score is not good when you compare other systems in his category. The first page of Pentium3 550MHz systems with GeForce2 Ti's have a score of 2119 to 2369, if anything, you'd expect the guy would be remotely close to 2000 even. He is getting about 40% less performance than everyone else is. Next time check the database before you say his score is "good."

    Some suggestions:

What do you mean your running up with V5 5500? If you previously had other video cards then uninstall the drivers for maximum performance. Get the lastest Via 4-in-1 driver from www.viahardware.com also don't forget the newest Detonator XP 23.11 gives some Via motherboards some problems resulting in loss of system stability and/or performance. Check out the 21.83's among other drivers from the download database at www.rivastation.com

    Hope your score improves!

Actually, if you take a look at the OC page of Toms 21 Ti shootout, it shows the gainward GF2 Ti at 315/570 beating a stock ti200 by 76-73fps in Q3 Demo001 1600x1200-32.
I think the test rig was the P4 1.8G

Not bad for the good old GF2.

Yeah I'm just being a bit sarcastic whenever someone reads GeForce2 Ti and thinks GeForce3 Ti500 or something of the like. It just annoys me slightly.

Well, I was basing my GF2 Ti #'s on GF3 Ti500 performance, and the speeds I picked were picked out of thin air so you can expect some discrepancy.

I wasnt in disagreement with you at all .
Sorry if it sounded that way, bad grammar on my part.
Your pretty close the money at 350/600,though i think faster memmory clock is still needed to make ti500 speed.
The to 500 has around 25% on the ti200.

You only said GF3 anyway so you probably spot on.
