MAJOR problem with nVidia drivers!
Ok guys see if you can help me out here:
My computer is as the sig, but now that I've gone back to windows 98 se, i am having problems with the 23.11 drivers with my setup.
Upon installing the 23.11s the screen on loading win98 is totally corrupted and stays that way.
I thought mmmnnn...what've i done now?
After reinstalling 21.88 the display was fine.
I've tried the 21.83 as well...they work
22.80 (leaked) don't work.
I even upgraded the bios...still no help
Any ideas?

If it was a beta/ uncertified 23.11 driver, you may have a faulty driver.
Win98WHQL23.11
If that wasn't the case, use Detonator Destroyer from 3dGuru or othersite to clean your registry and start again. Hope this helps.

3D Chipset has the det destroyer.
A proper driver uninstall ussually does the trick.
The easyiest way is to reboot to safemode(hold f8 during OS search) and while in safe mode uninstall Nvidia drivers through Add/Remove Programs. Then use detenator destroyer for good measure
Booting in safe mode or changing display adaptor to SVGA before removing drivers ensures they're not in use, thus can actually be removed.
You should be fine upgrading drivers but it pays to always completely remove them when downgrading.

BTW. I find the 21.83 to be the most rewarding overall on all my machines from p2 333 to 1.4G athlon using GF2 MX200 MX400,GF256, GF2 Pro and GF2 Ti.
21.83 on every one of them and every rig that leaves this house.
