Shut off Windows Media Player, Zone Alarm, Real Time monitor, Riva Tuner and ran 3DMark2000. Now IE wants to work. One of these programs or a bad server related prob out of my hands caused it.

Turn those programs on again - one at a time to find out which one breaks IE. One the other hand it could have been a transient anomaly.

Cannot duplicate bug in IE. I guess it was an anonymious eccentric periodic internet transient anomaly after all. I did get an interesting ASP 0113 error entering some other forum though.

It's doing it again, no server found on IE 5.5. Zone alarm and volume control only thing on. Zone alarm off, same deal. It will probably work again later like it did the last time. Any one else on IE right now with this prob? No posting more about this needed, I guess. Don't want to start my own, "me and my PC journal" thread.
