    Question Decent/Cool Webcams

Recently, I've been looking around for a Webcam. Specifically, one of them that can detatch and become a Digital Camera of sorts (Think: Creative Webcam Go Plus). Anyone know some good ones?

do you want one that detaces and still is on a wire or is totally portable afterwards?

Detach = unplug cable from camera.

I have the Creative Webcam Go. It works best as a webcam, and ok for stills if you just need something quick and aren't looking for spectacular quality. It uses a CMOS sensor as opposed to better CCD, and max res
640x480. Like I said, it's a much better webcam than it is a still digital camera.

Basically, what Pinky said. I'm not *necissarily* looking for one that does real good stills (although it would be nice), and more for a webcam.

Intel has one, but I can't remember what other companies do... (I think Intel's is 640x480 as a regular camera)

    I bought a Logitech Traveller.
Good pic and a built in mic.
It detaches and takes pics and up to minutes video with sound.
Good features and it's down to about $100.

DLink has one too. I think it's more of a digital camera though and you can use it for webcamming.

    Hi

I heard something about a cam called the IBOT. I read that it did like 35 frames a sec, so it looked smooth when you moved around in front of it. Also had high resolution for a web cam. Oh yeah its firewire connection, so that may be a problem

So does the Pyro 1364 (Whatever the number is!). It's Firewire and is more or less much more than just simple Webcamming. More for Web Conferencing
