Help with Compaq Ipaq expansion sleeve!!
OK, I have descided that I want the Compaq IPaq H3670. (The 64 meg pda). There are two different sleeves for it, a compact flash sleeve and a pc card sleeve. I know that the cards are different sizes and stuff, but what I need to know is the other differences between them. How much is memory for each type. I saw on compaq's web site there were memory and storage pc cards. What's the difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can put Compact Flash cards into a PCMCIA slot with a $10 adapter. You can't (easily) put PCMCIA cards into Compact Flash slots.
If you're looking for flash memory, flash memory in CF format is much cheaper than PCMCIA format. However, there are some PCMCIA hard drives (2 and 5 GB) that dwarf the largest CF hard drive (1GB).
As far as the differences between the sleeves goes, the PCMCIA sleeves (there is a single and a dual PCMCIA sleeve) have an extra battery for each slot. These batteries will power the card, but if there's no card installed, they'll trickle charge the main battery, extending life. The CF sleeve has no extra battery.
There are more 802.11b, modem and network cards available for PCMCIA than CF, which also might be a concern.
