I got the Rio 600 64MB a few months ago and I love it. The only function the Rio 800 adds over the 600 is a voice recorder... the 600 and 800 are pretty good choices. I'd recommend holding out on a magnetic or optical (Read: Nomad-esque and RioVolt-esque) mp3 player in favor of solid-state.
