    Question DX8

Should I go to DX8?? If so, which build??
    There's 140, 146, 183 - I have 7.0 now and
I understand that the de-install can be a real &&^^%%$%.

    Thanks,
    MC

Are you ready to format and reinstall the OS if it doesn't go well for you? You better be.

Go to "http://zoiah.m3dzone.com" - go to the
near bottom left to 'misc', follow that to
    directx.

    Hope this helps......................MC

You're right!! What's weird is that I double-
checked the link JUST BEFORE I sent the reply
ack to you. I did DL one of the builds (I think Build 183 - it's 11M, tho - maybe I
can FTP it to you (Not to swift at that, tho)

I'm really sorry - but it WAS there!!!

Pre-Release.....Beta.....Not SUpported....You're on your own.....Time to Fdisk and Format....

These are the words you'll be saying to yourself as you curse the idea of having installed DX8. It's just not released yet

    FINALLY,
I'm not going to things new just
'cause they're new. My PC is stable, has been, and WILL STAY THAT WAY.
    I hereby decree!!

    Thanks,

I say go for it. Just backup first, My operating system is on a 1.2 gig partion. I use nortan ghost, you take an image of boot/os partion, and put it in a safe place. after you F^ck it up real good just reimage, it takes all of 3 minutes for a compressed 1.2 gig image. If your going to try stuff like DX8 beta I suggest an easy backup method like this.

    Cool

Actually, I have 'GoBack', which works quite
well at reverting to an earlier time.
I just don't hear anyone making a clear case
for DX8 superiority in terms of speed, stability, or anything else.
