Question Morpheus Security & General Questions

I have a couple of questions concerning Morpheus.

    1) How secure is my PC now that I have installed Morpheus? Seems that I would be more subsceptable to a hack. Can anybody explain? I have an SMC Barricade 4-port gateway and I'm running Zone Alarm as well and I'm just curious as to how people were able to connect to my machine and access my Morpheus Shared Folder and download from my PC especially with the SMC and Zone Alarm installed (well, I pretty much gave Morpheus access to act as a server via Zone Alarm so I understand that much).

    2) How can I make sure that I don't have any Folders shared? Even if I go to the folder list I don't have anything checked. However, what does show checked with a red box is the "My Shared Folder" icon. Is there anyway that I can disable this folder as well to assure absolutely no sharing what so ever? I can't seem to deselect the "My Shared Folder" icon.

In general, what can I do to protect myself?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

If you are running Morpheus 1.3, there should be a box you can check that says something like "dont share with other users". That should take care of that. Though, IMHO, that defeats the whole purpose of P2P. If you are running ZA, you should be totally fine.

    ZoneAlarm should keep you safe.

Relax! I was more or less curious about the functionality and the general capabilities. More or less I just wanted some warm fuzzies that this thing was safe to use. You know, some trials and tribulations from expert users.

As far as sharing, oh yeah, I'll definitely be sharing. In fact I currently share 50G worth of Mp3's per my Gnutella share.

    It's all good....
