    Question Webserver Gurus please..a quickie!

I have set up a server on my static IP using Sambar 5.0 Its free and can be found on Tucows....it has built in ftp and user access and ...well alot for a free download.

My problem is that I registered a domain to point to my ip address which works, it gets you to the main page. What is not working is using the address to go immediately to a secondary page.

example: www.myserver.com is my domain, it points to 192.168.0.1 (im making these up for example)

I can type www.myserver.com and it will take me to 192.168.0.1 as the domain forwards you there but if i type www.myserver.com/news it wont take me to that subfolder with a default index.htm, but if I type in 192.168.0.1/index it will work.

Do I need some type of name server or some scripting with a program called "bind"???? Im guessing here and am guessing at names Ive read about but didnt understand what I was reading.

    Thanks in advance!

Please do not cross post. I consider it pretty rude. See my response in networking.
