Post They grow rice in the phillipines!!!!!!

... at least I think they do.

Well my new site is finished... sorta... it's http://pcONE2001.tripod.com and I have a few questions:

First off did it appear correct to you?

Second off the ticker is currently stationary because only IE supports scrolling marquee (or does netscape now?)

Third, should the ticker have a white or grey background...

fourth, my content is little currently (only 1 article) but how do you like the site?

    Any suggestions?

Wow, the link worked just clicking it I didn't have to copy and paste

anyway the top part (thing that says pcONE) will get a few graphics on it to make it look better (and less blue), and I need to spruce the site up with many graphics, so take that into consideration...

They grow rice in the philipines?

the site is looking alright, it loads quick and is easy to navigate, once you have some more content i will be able to comment further. Dont know whether Im overally struck on the gaudy blue buttons, and title border or not. Im sure you will end up changing it around a hundred times between now and next year anyways. Other then that looking forward to seeing what you add in the future.

    best regards from canada

It doesn't resize to my resolution, so I have a bunch of grey space. I don't know how to fix that, I am sure it is easy though.

    Good luck with growing!

It doesn't resize to your resolution??? What exactly does that mean, does it look really screwed up????

Hopefully I'll constantly add content, my last site had about 10 reviews (but they were all of old worthless products )

i think hobbes was refering to the centered table. If you frame the table with expanding meta tags, then it will scale the width of the page, but put a 5 pixel borded space to keep a little of the grey and to sperate your main content table from the from the edges of the page.

    Thumbs up

The site looks great. It loads fast and is easy to navigate. Hey, how do I get an Ultra 2k Superfly Bloober 2.0?

How'd you manage to get a site name like that? Good for you man.

Personally, in terms of layout, this site is the best one I've seen, functionwise.

    http://www.ipkonfig.com/Articles/XPv...rs/index.shtml

Good luck on your new site Trav. I'm sure it'll get sleeker and sleeker as time goes by.

Edit spelling: seals are sleek but sleek isn't seal. no sleak seals, just sleek for real.

Looks good at 1028 x 768 on Opera v5.12 with javascript plugin.

Suggestions: dump the blue brick background for the header and just run the pcONE logo with a shadow like you have it. Check out Xara 3D for 3d fonts www.xara.com

You should also goof with their webstyle 2.0, its pimp and you get a 30 day trial. It includes a lite version of Xara 3d.
    Worth a look.

I would change the generic text font for maybe arial.

    Goof first effort. Nice job.

The site worked and looked good. My suggestion would be to find/fix spelling and grammar errors(especially in the links section), which negate the value of your content because people see those errors and they think your dumb.
    Just constructive criticism though.

Thanks for the input, I think I'm gonna play with the heading a bit and maybe spruce up the graphics and make them look a bit more professional and keep the same layout...

Wow, that ipconfig site is pretty sweet...

I changed the top banner, I think it looks a bit better, but I still need something to take up the blank space, I wanted glowing lightening, but I couldn't get it to look right

It's not bad. I'd probably make the background thats grey now blue though, and perhaps make the menu/logos more "clean" if you know what I mean. Remove some of the texture.

Have you considered buying that domain? Because if you don't someone else may get it and spank you for using it!

I'd get a host without the ads at the top, for sure!
