    Post Anyone have tried Koolance?

For my upcoming computer overhaul I am thinking of getting their case. I think it's $250 pricetag with 350W ps is better than getting Lian Li with same ps. The most attractive part of the Koolance to me is their silence... as long as they keep soon to be mine 1.4(or higher) athlon cool enough...

The reviews seem to be in their favor heavily except one tomshardware review. They came up with a new model since then and I wonder if that fixed everything.

    The most recent review :

Even if you haven't tried the system, please post your opinion on this.

    Thank you.

Koolance in a word is bad, it cools to same degree as a low end heatsink fan combo.

You would be better off with a half decent aopen case and some good/quiet case fans

Not really into water-cooling systems. I think the case itself is pretty plain looking. If they put the rig into a nicer case then maybe.... I am sure it would cool your 1.4 with no problem. I do like the way they have aaded the 3 fans on top. hmmmm another modding idea.

Using the same water supply to cool the cpu,vid card, chipset, harddrive is not very good. Espicially if I planed to o/c my vid card and cpu.

FaTs, have you read the article he's referring to? Koolance has a new case out, also reviewed at www.overclockers.com/articles457/index.asp that seems to be much better than the older one, reviewed (and panned!) here at http://www4.tomshardware.com/cpu/01q3/010706/index.html

If all you do is cool the CPU only, and do not o/c the CPU, it should be fine. However, this system is insufficient to o/c and/or cool multiple heat sources (e.g. CPU, video card, northbridge, hard drives, etc.)

I remember considering the old Koolance case which turned out to be a total POS. However, Koolance seems to have regrouped and came back with a completely new design. There is a review at [H]ardOCP on it. Cood be worth a look.
