quake 3, need help
i was wondering if there is any other way to run quake 3 without opengl , im on a laptop, which a crap graphics card,
althou im having fun with UT, but would like to see quake 3 working

It's a OpenGL game. No other API's are supported by Quake 3 Arena as far as I know.

Get a different graphic card on ur laptop
Even if Q3 suports D3D or other stuff, it's still gonna be slow as hell...
Remember, cards that don't have full support in OpenGL must be really really REALLY old.
Even crappy cheap ATI cards can play it.
Just take ur laptop to a store and change the card.

Ya, right dude. Then go to Target and by an LCD screen/scanner combo for it. On your way out pick up a RAID controller for it too. They are cheap these days.

Q3A only supports OpenGL. D3D is unsupported.
If you can get a card that supports OpenGL for a laptop (Do they have these yet?) you should be able to play Q3A.
