    Post Demos to show performance/quality

Are there any FPS demos that run themselves so I can see the performance or quality of my system (QIII, Halflife, ...) I just want to sit and watch
and not have to play to start with. If so what are they and what command line parms are needed to make them work.

    Thanks

Q3 has a demo with it that you can watch.
If you want to check your frame rate....
Start the game so that the main page is showing (the one with single multyplayer and options)
Bring down the console (tide key ~)
    type:
    timedemo 1 (press enter)
demo demo001 (press enter) or demo demo002 (press enter)
The demo will then load and play. When it finishes press the tide key to bring down the console and the last line will
    show your fps.
If you want to repeat the benchmark, while the console is displaying your fps, press the up arrow (this re-enters
the last command into the console) and then press enter, the demo will run again.

3dmark 2000 is awesome. Good thing I've got DSL though that 20MB file would be a ***** to download on a 56k.

    Cool demos, EASY

    Nascar Heat
    Dagoth Moor Zoological Gardens

I know there's one other, but i just can't remember. Simple, useful demo mode.

I love to know how it will work on my machine before i buy.

Superbike 2001 looks truly awesome and has a great VCR function. Needs a FPS though.
