Quake 3 CD Bypass anyone know how?

I have the full version and 1.17 update, but I want to know if anyone knows how to bypass the fact that you have to leave the cd in to play single player mode, I am jus tired of leaving the cd in the drive and hearing it rev up for no reason every now and then. I tryed changing a registry setting but to no avail, so anyone know.

I think if you go to *************.com they'll have the the hack for you as long as its your copy. good luck.

if you don't want to use a hacked exe, you could wait for 1.25 or upgrade to the beta now [mods won't work tho], as it removes the cd check.
