Q3 FPS How do you turn it on
OK, it looks like I'm missing something obvious. So how does a nice, sweet, innocent girl like myself tell if she has KICK *** fps her new 1 ghz PIII (thanks daddy) on Q3?
Thanks in advance.

from the main menu (or anywhere else really) press the ~ key. That will bring down the console. At the console, type this:
timedemo 1 (enter)
demo demo001 (enter)
that will run through timedemo 1 and return you to the main screen. then hit ~ again and it should say your fps. You can also do demo002 instead of demo001.
If you want a constant fps reading while you're playing, bring down the console again with ~ and type:
cg_drawfps 1
Hope that helps

You hit the \ key first.
its:
\timedemo 1
\demo demo001
The demo runs
After the demo is done then hit the ` key again.

Hmm....I don't have to hit the \ key for the timedemo.......
but now that i think of it, you have to do it before the cg_drawfps.

just use cg_drawfps(as mentioned above) to see your fps at all times.

When asked how World War III would be fought, Einstein replied that he didn't know. But he knew how World War IV would be fought: With sticks and stones!

You could also set drawFPS to 1 in your q3config.cfg file.

Yeah but it's easier to just do it in the console. That way you can remove it if it bothers you or something.

Do not complain when you have to get up early in the morning.
The day will come when you cannot get up at all.
