I do not appear to have any serious IRQ problems. The only sharing going on is that my NIC card shares an IRQ with two USB ports. The only other game that i have tried playing is half-life using the TFC mod and that plays absolutely great. Winamp plugins that use Direct X also play great with high FPS and no lock ups. I am really stuck here because if it was an IRQ conflict, i would get lockups more often then in just that one game. Also, is it still technically a lock up if your dvd-rom and music still works.
    Here are my specs:
    AMD 1.1Ghz T-bird
    Abit KT7 w/ newest bios
Aureal Vortex 2 w/ latest drivers
    Newest Via 4-in-1's
    Last patch of Diablo 2(Duh)

Do any of you guys have any ideas?

I get the EXACT same problem. My CD-ROM still plays the music, and it sits there blinking happily while my game locks up randomly every 1-10 minutes. Thank god someone else has this problem!

I'm using an ASUS V7700 Deluxe with the Det3's 6.31 for Win2k. DirectX Version 7.0

    Arg..

Could it be a CD-ROM problem?

    When I say CD-ROM, I mean DVD/CD-ROM/CD-RW/etc..

Update all of your drivers. Have y'all updated to DirectX 8.0a?

Also, are you running v1.09? That patch seemed to fix a great deal of things.

If THAT still doesn't solve things, try running it in Direct Draw (2D), and you shouldn't have any problems with it.
