So, being the curious cat that i am.. what is all your opinions out there on which game will best the other. Which engine will kick the others @ss, which will have better game play/multiplayer?

Doom 3 for sure. I have my reasons. : )

I'm going with Doom III. I trust Carmack. The unreal games are fun, UT blew Q3a outta the water, but Carmack promised that it would be more single player oriented. I'm expecting something revelutionary.

Yep Doom 3.
Especially if it has a single player.
Thats why I think both UT and Q3 sucked cause they had no single player story at all.

i like your guys's computer systems.. but im not much into single player that much any more.. i just like getting online and seeing how other people play.. etc

Ouch, not a single vote for Unreal2. I've never read anything about Doom3 as of yet, but I was a great fan of the original Unreal. It was the first game that actually started me on the track towards higher resolutions. But then, I was comparing it to quake2

In any case, if the Unreal series continues to put out as it has been doing, then it gets my vote*

ill go for U2. Ive always loved the first unreal. i loved it sooo much. i thought it was such a fun game. i dont know why. mabey i just loved the graphics when it came out. but i think it will be a tight game..

i'll go Unreal 2 also. Not for the graphics, but the gameplay in UT blows away Q3 and for that, they get mad props with me.

i think doom 3 will be better but will come out like 1-2 years after unreal 2 so i wouldn't really rate them in the same class
