Me neither - I hope they enable more play styles in skirmish mode. It would be nice to have something other than:
    1. build base
    2. try to survive early battering by cpu's
    3. amass army
    4. crush cpu's

Coop w/ a cpu might be fun (although they are so predictable - not sure it would be worth it.

Actually there is some new gameplay besides new Arsenal:
    Co-op Skirmish
A new side to fight from besides the Allies and Russians along with a few extras.

    should be real good!

Red Alert 2 was the best of the command and conquer series and if Yuri's Revenge adds to an already great game then I shall be buying it too!

I wish the multiplayer for Red Alert 2 was as customizable as AOE2. Then it would surely kick arse.

I agree, RA2 is the best C&C game ever!

Purchased it yesterday - her are my impressions:

    Yuri -
Playing either with or against him is HARD. Very different tactics than other sides. For one thing, he has a lot of units that can mind control. His yuri prime special unit is devastating in multiplayer - he can take over buildings, including defensive structures, and sell them. It's like having an engineer that can capture from a distance. His gatling tank has very little armor, but rips through infantry, including the gaurdian gi's. The tank bunkers are ok, but not hard to kill with either harriers, prisms, or siege choppers. Virus is nice. She's like the british sniper but when she kills someone, the body leaves a green cloud of gas that poisons nearby infantry. The biggest weaknesses I have seen for his side are that he has no sapper units like tanya or crazy ivan, so it's much more difficult to blow bridges, etc, and that he has a hard time collecting resources. The slave miners have to be built whole, ie. you cannot have one refinery and 2 ore gathering units. On the other hand, you can send the refinery to the ore itself, which is nice on maps with lots of little patches of ore.

The Allies are not overmuch changed from before. The guardian gi is great against tanks. Soviet players will hate them. The robot tanks are nice because they are fast, hit reasonably hard, and can cross water, but they have lousy armor. The battle fortress is a waste of time. It's very expensive, and isn't very effective.

The soviets are interesting. Losing the psychic sensor and cloning vats makes them play very differently. The industrial plant makes all mechanized units 25% cheaper. This is quite handy. The siege chopper rocks. It's like having a cruiser from RA1 that can fly and deploy wherever, and while flying, it murders infantry. They seem a little weaker than before, though.

Overall, the expansion is very good. One complaint I have is that the map editor doesn't work for Yuri's Revenge, but overall, it's well worth the $30.
