Question Peripheral Guide - What Should Be Next?

I'm trying to decide which peripheral (i.e joysticks, wheels, mice etc.) guidewould be good to do next. What do you guys want to see most of all for the next roundup? (Reposted from the old forum, but no one commented there so I thought it worth reposting here. )

Oops, didn't see it on the old one, and only saw it here a minute ago, so i guess i'll be the first person to reply!

I really enjoyed the mousepad roudup, i actually used it to buy my mousepad..

How about a new keyboard or joystick roundup? I myself am in need of a change of both, so it couldn't happen at a better time (well in the next few months that is)

I don't know about a mouse roundup really, i just bought a new one, and i've read lenghtly different reviews about, for example, the Razer Boomslang 2000, and of course the M$ Intellimouse Explorer, and a bunch of other usb mice from logitech and those kind of guys.

So my suggestion would be: Keyboard and Joystick! (perhaps joypad aswell?, or maybe game-controlling-devices)

Yeah, I am in need of a new keyboard. Something like that might do some good. I also need a new mouse, but there is a enough information to help me out on that.

I'd say gamepad or keyboard. I would lean towards a gamepad though.

How about something that would make it less tense for people who play games and are on the PC all the time. Something that would ease all the cramped muscles and carpel tunnel that I seem to be getting the older I get. LOL How about Keyboard and mouse trays? I am in the process of making one for myself. Or a mouse that is strapped to your hand??

Hmmm. Hmm hmm hmm. Keyboard would be good, sure, although there are a lot out there to check out. Cordless, corded, USB, "natural"... Then again, there are a heck of a lot of joy[ads out there too. Eek, what've I put myself in for.

I'll give the keyboard one a go first and start asking around for review units. Just don't hold your breath, getting all this hardware together takes time.

The hardest thing for avid gamers to find is a good comprehensive review in one place of the LATEST game sticks and pads. There are so amny out there and only a few good ones. Also if they were point rated with relationship to the type of game ( ie: 6 for flight sims / 9 for 3d shooters ... )Also if they were reviewed by 1 person only, not that other cohorts couldnt pipe in their 2cents, but with one reviewer, then there is a steady base we all can relate too.
Some controllers I would like to see in a 3d "shootout" are :
    1. microsoft sidewinder 3d
    2. saitek 3d stick (new version)usb
    3. logiteck wingman stick / & their new intelli eye mouse
    4. mad catz panther dx
5.boomslang ...of course there are plenty of reviews.
    6. also logiteck has a space orb that is built mainly for 3d cad work but i hear it is great for 3d shooters.
And there are a few more which i cnt remember the names of but if your interested ...let me know.
Also if you go to some of these controler sites you can find out how when and where they break. which is good support, which could be duplicated here on sharky's forum ???

    thanks
    ( another 2cents )

IMHO the most usefull whould be an joystick
roundup, since the keyboard market is kinda stagnant, besides internet keys and USB/infrared is nothing new...

    Race wheels would be nice.

But how about a small twist, a focus on longevity. It would be nice to have a wheel that could stillwork after 6 months of Need4Speed abuse.

Ah. As it happens, I'm starting to regularly receive and review the new hardware from Gravis, Microsoft and Logitech (and trying to establish a similar arangement with other manufacturers) so you're in luck.

How about a Left handers guide to peripherals. Because its very hard for a south paw like me to find a any left handed peripherals(keyboards excluded).

Keyboards isn't bad. I didn't see many which are good for gaming. Most cheap ones are simply too loud.(The ones from the Netfinity Servers are cool, but I don't know where to get one, except taking the one from our server:-))
    Another interesting thing is: Speakers.
Some of these multimedia-monster-10000watts-blowitallaways are almost good. But they are nearly as expensive as a hi-fi amp speaker combo.

    How about
-Comparing all the midrange cards (MX, Radeon32SDR, and V4). Also, Dont just run Q3A. its a good game and all, but ***, its not the only one. Also, Dont just run in OGL (its the best, but still), Let the V4 run in glide and the Radeon in whatever it worx best in. I NEVER ONCE SAW A REVIEW ON THE VIPER2000 where they DID anything in S3metal.
