    Cool

Good Game! Very nicely designed levels. Not just interconnected boxes that you see all too often (quake 1, 2,3, red faction....) You get to wander through ruined cities, and open countryside as well. However it ground me down to 10 FPS all too often to really enjoy it the way I should have, but that was a k6-2 500 mhz machine with the 256DDR I still have (Axing soon). Not as well done as UNREAL I felt though. And VERY VERY difficult in some places, mainly due to the CRAP controlling system and sheer number of different offensive and defensive stuff to use. The disco at the end was quoole though. "Thats the biggest Trolloc I've ever seen!" (breathy voice)...........

Well so far...I've discovered that hard on this game is close to Unreal on Unreal. Dang...craziness. Question...does anyone know some good graphical settings for it though...its kinda looking crappy on my ssytem, and I know it can look better.

Do you always play games on the most difficult setting ?

Of course...that's where the fun comes from. Come on, how many people do you know of that can say that they've beaten Unreal on Unreal or Half-Life on Hard? I'm one of the only people I know that has done that. n0ekt being the other. Its just fun I think...but I'm just a strange person anyway though.

I'm assuming your running in D3D? If so, did you d/l the latest D3D patch? I've only played the game on my last PC(a P2 350 that had a Voodoo Banshee card in it). I think I ran it 8*6 w/video options set in the "medium" range. I tried playing w/all setings on "high" and I got like 20fps staring at a wall, and 5 while running in the open. I remembering hearing the game didn't run perfectly at first in D3D, but I had a voodoo card so I didn't care.
What is not looking right for you? Textures? colors? What settings on you playing at now?

Side note: They actually had architects work with the level desginers to make the interiors of the buildings.

It all looks pixilated-like. Not very smooth textures at all...almost like its running in software, but it isn't. Yea, I'm running in D3D...GL doesn't like my computer. But its a sweet game nontheless...still don't get Whitecloaks using ter'angreal though. Ohwell.

Actually...its the Unreal engine and GL that don't get along in my system. It works great for HL/CS etc., but not for anything using the Unreal engine...doesn't make any sense...should probably post this in tech support though. Ohwell...it'll stay here until a mod decided to move it...waiting...

Try posting on the forums at www.wheeloftime.com If there is a fix I'm sure someone there would know it.

Hi, I just saw this thread. I have the game and I thought the level design was really nice. I have a copy collecting dust, so if you want a copy I can send it to you, but it looks like you already have one now?

Someone posted these settings for all Unreal based games. I used it on Undying, and it fixed a couple of problems that I had (flashing, messed up shadows), but introduced some tearing. Give it a whirl: http://pvr.gamestats.com/cgi-bin/iko...ct=ST;f=11;t=4
