A Program to Boost DSL speed when hosting games?

I need something that can make my computer a better host.

CPU AMD Athlon 1.0 GHz
768 MB pc133 sdram (soon to be 3 GB, I've got the sticks and the mobo)
ADSL Connection through PacBell

Are there any programs that will help my computer while hosting? connection accelerators or latency redusers or something of that sort?

Doubtful. Is the game you're playing running out of hosts, or do you just want to do it for no particular reason?

I compete for rankings in MechWarrior4, and I am usually number 1 for the quarter and weekly.. when I play at least. It is a free time thing.

Anyways, other hosts are always laggy or warp like crazy, so I like to play on my own hosted server.. but then every now and then when I get a big game going and there are a lot of ppl conneting and disconnecting it gets laggy. I really want every battle to be as fair as possible, so that ppl don't think that I win just because everyone else on my server is having lag. Most of the time it is fine, but every now and then ppl start talking s#it.
