Not that i'm interested, but that is WAYY too much, especially since you put CHEAP in the title of your string. For that kinda dough, you could go for a High end Dell or Even Alien computer.
-
All right already! Let's not start this "flame the person with the overpriced powerhouse PC" again. If his price is too high then no one will buy it- don't worry about it.

1. Question why r u selling it, it seems to be a kickass system?
-
Ok, ok. So i should have put Expensive system as the title... But you cant get that system for cheaper even with AlienWare or Falcon NorthWest or hypersonic pc. Trust me, i've looked. If you say I am WAY overpriced, then look at them! Ok, so they have the Plasma Purple Case Colors and a personalized Notebook that has all of your own system specs and benchmarks. Do you really need that case color to play games and a neat little black binder to tell you your system's benchmarks? Why not save the extra money on the color of the case and find your own benchmarks!? So maybe i wont sell any of these systems. But thats not because of my price, that because i'm not "Name Brand" Like those three High End System Builders. So i'm not up there with Gateway and Dell. I still have good prices compared to those companies!
Ok, lets take a system for example. The AlienWare Area51: Aurora -
It comes with a 1Ghz TB, doesnt list the MB, 256mb pc133 RAM, 40G 7200 HDD, GeForce2 GTS 64MB DDR, SB Live!, Klipsh Speakers, 16x DVD, 10x4x32 CDRW, Windows ME, colered case and keyboard, and the Intellimouse for $3299.
The only thing they have on me is 10G of HDD, a little faster CDRW, little better speakers, and the mouse. But, I list the MB (and it's probably better than theirs), the video card i put in mine is better than theirs, i put in Win98SE instead of ME, and i have more fans. Other then that and the color case, its the same system but for less!!
My point is this. Why go out and get a name brand system when you can get the same name brand parts in a system for hundreds less?

And to Christop99, because i sell systems...

Ok here is what I can buy that for and I have included the shipping costs in all of the items:
$480 Tbird 1ghz
$126 Asus K7V
$281 Radeon 64MB
$47 Diamond MX400
$207 256MB PC133 Sdram
$120 Pioneer DVD 16X
$170 Lucky Goldstar 8x4x32 CDRW Drive
$117 WD 30GB ATA66 5400 HD (Sorry to say but WD doesn't make a 7200 HD above 20gig. Yours is 5400 bud)http://www.westerndigital.com/products/drives/caviar7200.html
$5 HD cooler
$30 Colored Mid-tower case.
$65 400 Watt powersupply (AMD compatible)
$50 Altec Lansing 5 piece surround speakers
$20 Rockwell chipset 56k hardware modem
$8 Sony floppy drive
$15 Asound 10/100 PCI NIC
$12 Win98 Keyboard
$6 3 button scroll mouse
$8 80mm case fan
$10 Dual 5 1/4 case fan
$8 PCI slot fan
$75 Win98 SE
Total comes to $1860
That is almost a $900 difference. Hell I didn't even need to put that win98 on there. Have enough of those floating around as it is. But you can see that you are well over priced there. And I tried to match up everything as best I could. Sure some things might not match because you didn't specify a brand, but I don't think it will make up for the $900. My advice, keep it, or find a sucker.

Ok, LordLynx. You are right aboutWestern Digital not having a 7200 30G HDD. My mistake, there's a Maxtor 30.7G 7200 in there. I'm pretty sure you surfed PriceWatch for those prices and got the cheapest price you could find for each specific item. Those are pretty good prices and it sounds pretty unrealistic for them when they are including shipping (some even lower than i get them). But, there's the build cost, which most Gamers that would buy a High End Gamer system would buy the pieces and tweak them and such and i added a lot of percentage of profit on there. Really, my point was that my price is still cheaper than those Name Brand Systems that are sold by Companies like AlienWare, Falcon NW, HyperSonic PC, Dell, and Gateway.

You are not saving $900 buy building it yourself.
You have to apply some $$$ value
to the work that he is doing in
installation/configuration. I'd also guess
that he will to provide some type of
gaurantee that all the pieces are working properly.
I just built my 1st system from scratch. I
thought it would be a piece of cake, but it
wasn't. Between coordinating the shipments
with the different vendors and then the
potential risk that some parts are defective,
you are saving yourself quite a headache by
going with a pre-built system.
There has to be a $$$ value to that.
$900?? maybe not. But his system is certainly
worth more than the sum value of the cheapest
prices for each of the parts.
just my 2 cents

Thanks, Awk-boy. And yes, it does come with warranties and when we build it and install the OS and such, we make sure that everything works. $900? Probably not, but it is worth something =)

Hi, I would have bought the system you have for sale but I live in Canada. The S&H would send me to the food bank. I also have add 67% on the price(43% exchange rate,14%sales and 10% duty) The pice would have exeded $4000. Does anybody know of any place in Canada to buy a gaming oriented PC?
-
This is the for/sale/trade whatever make a deal forum.
If you don't want to buy or trade for the system, then you really don't have anything to say. If you have something to say and you fit in this category, you are THREAD CRAPPING, which is about the same in this type of forum as just posting random messages that say AMD SUCKs! InTEL rulez! P3 forever!!
how gay...
