Weird fps prob
I just lost and agp slot on my Asus A7V133 board and my GF2 GTS 32MB vid card was damaged. I replaced the Asus A7V133 board with an Abit KR7A-133. I replaced my vid card with a GF4 MX420. I also got 256MB DDR. Now when I play any game my fps is fine for 2 seconds and then it drops by 5 frames, which brings my system to a short freeze and it seems like lag. Anybody have a clue what could be causing this? I reinstalled windows and I tried using the GF4 drivers ont eh disc and the 23.11s with no affect. Is this a vid card prob?
BTW, Someone mentioned reinstalling the mobo drivers. Thing is I don't see any drivers on the mobo disc besides the via drivers. Systems specs below if you need them.

Do you know where I can get the latest xp drivers for this board? I was looking at the irq just now. This is teh entry for the card..."(pci) 11 NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420". Shouldn't it be listed as agp?

Turned FSAA off?
How about Antisopheric off?

They are always off. I make sure of that everytime I install new drivers. I also tried a different apg card with teh same result. This is also spilling over into other applications not just games. The visualizations in Media player for music does the same thing.

You shouldn't install the via drivers if you run XP.
