    Question Bad motherboard?????

Help please! Do I have ANOTHER bad board?!?!

I have an Abit board but can't save any of the settings besides loading the optimized defaults!

    What is happening??

    Abit KR7A-133
    Athalon 1800+
    512 DDR RAM
    3.5 Drive
    Hercules GeForce2 Pro Video card.

If I set say the time and reboot the computer just HANNGS!

If I load w/optimized values it boots up.

I've reset the CMOS using the jumper and removing the battery a few times ... any ideas .. HEEELP!

    Thanks.

Hmmm...have you tried replacing these components with others, to see if there's some odd kind of conflict?

At any rate, I'd definitely try flashing the BIOS to the latest version. If that doesn't work, you might have a goofy CMOS chip...

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDERING OF THE EVERCASE'S PRODUCTS.

THE CASE ECE4252 IS DESIGNED BY THE ATX FORM FACTOR STANDARD, BUT WE FOUND
    THAT SOME M/BS, I.E. ABIT'S KR7A-133 M/B, DOES NOT ABIDE BY THE
STANDARD(ABIT'S OTHER M/BS FOLLOWED THE ATX STANDARD EXCEPT AFEW OF THEM, I
WONDER WHY?, SO THE STAND OFF POSITION ON THE THIRD LOW ARE MISMATCH. TO
AVOIDE THE SHORTING PROBLEM, YOU CAN SIMPLE USE A PLASTIC TAPE TO COVER THE
    M/B TRY BOSS TO INSULATE.

SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTION, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME.

    BEST REGARDS,
